DEON
Optical Design Corporation was
organized in October 2004. The founding engineers each have
over three decades of experience
in the high precision optics industry, having developed optical
products for many world famous manufacturers. Prior to the
founding of DEON, Company president Shimizu played a large
role in enacting
scope manufacturing standards through the International Organization
for Standardization (ISO). Additionally, during their careers,
the engineers have developed many innovative optical products,
winning such honors as the "Good Design Prize" and the "Science
and Technology Prize" awarded by the Japanese Government.
The team, equipped with a great deal of expertise in lens design, hardware design,
and assembly, began development under the direction of President Shimizu. The
idea behind DEON Optical Design Corporation is to develop world class scopes,
the quality of which is difficult for larger profit-oriented companies to match.
The resulting products should be of such high quality that they can be trusted
by marksmen in all fields to deliver the absolute best performance.
Following through with this philosophy, the first product developed; was the
March 40x52BR Scope. The March 40x52BR Scope was designed to eliminate optical
aberration without compromise, utilizing high-end extra-low dispersion (ED) lenses,
produced at the top lens grinding factory in Japan. All hardware components are
manufactured to very precise tolerances beginning with detailed examination of
the source materials. For improved durability, no plastic components are utilized.
Elevation adjustment travel of 72MOA was achieved despite the high magnification
by developing new internal mechanisms. The precise tolerances and unique internal
design prevent unintentional shift of the POA.

Classic using a March 40 &
50 power scope.
In 2007, shooters using the March 40x52BR scope achieved overall victories at
the Cactus, Super Shoot, World Championship, NBRSA 4-gun Championship, NBRSA
200-300 yard Nationals, and the NBRSA 1000 yard Nationals. The March scope has
contributed to these victories, despite being on the market for only 1 year.
The designers at DEON would like to express their gratitude to these excellent
shooters for choosing our products for use in Competition.
In the future, DEON will continue to develop and manufacture
scopes of top quality
which provide performance at the world’s highest level. Products which
are now in development are the 50x52BR, the 60x52BR, and the 10x-60x52BR
zoom scope.
Following these products, development will branch into other areas of high precision
shooting. High performance hunting and tactical scopes will soon be under development,
delivering unparalleled performance to competitive marksmen.
