The
stocks on this page show the interesting
effects the black graphite cloth showing through the resin has on the final
look of the stock.

Molded-in coloring is availiable for all of the stocks offered to help save
on painting costs. This can include various camouflage schemes, a combination
of a few of your favorite colors or even metal flake mixed into the colored
epoxy resin. Molded-in coloring is the application of two or more colors
by hand into the mold before the structural cloth is laid in. This can lead
to color mixing, causing changes in the expected colors of the stock. For
example, having a red and yellow swirled pattern will result in a mostly
orangish stock with some muted yellow and red accents. Or a red and white
stock will have a small amount of pink coloring at the transition points.
Since the colored stock is straight from the mold there will be mold lines
and other minor imperfections in the finish including some of the cloth being
visible behind the resin. We attempt to minimize these imperfections, but
to keep costs down there is only so much we can do. |
